This issue contains stories on student president David Johnson; the TCC Subcommittee on General Education and Core Curriculum recommending changes in degree distribution requirements; four employees receiving the Outstanding Service Award; the upcoming completion of Highway 16; musician Ron Hudson and his performance of traditional Spanish and Latin American folk music; upcoming holiday ballet performances including the Tacoma Performing Dance Company, Pacific Northwest Ballet; carvers Don Church and John Church; the beginning of men's basketball season, including win against Clackamas and loss to the Australian National Team; the women's volleyball team making the playoffs but losing to Green River; Hannukah; installation of piano practice booths in Building 7.

Announcements include a TCC Jazz Ensemble concert at the Commencement Bay Jazz Society "Saturday Jazz Live"; a winter concert by TCC Concert Choir and Chamber Orchestra with the First Congregational Church choir; the Winter Arts Festival.
