This issue contains stories on a presentation by TCC President Thornton Ford on the budget; a presentation by National Urban Coalition head Jack Vaughn; student senator complaints about the student government paper Senate Raps; senate meeting news including student representatives on the Associate Degree Committee, Dianna Jaycox's proposal for a day care; radio DJ Al Cummings moving from Tacoma's KTNT-AM to Seattle's KISW-FM; speech instructor Charles Summers and his packed lunches; meeting Jane Fonda at a peace rally at the University of Puget Sound; Los Unidos receiving a handmade metal plaque from the Mexican American Self Help (MASH) organization at McNeil Island Federal Penitentiary; contemporary country group Old Rose and their performances at the TCC Coffeehouse; the golf team placing fourth in the Columbia Basin College Invitational; tennis team wins; the Tacoma-Fife Junior Judo Championship.
