Student newspaper of the Tacoma Community College. This issue is numbered volume 22, number 15 and is eight pages.
This issue contains stories on auditions for the production of Henrik Ibsen's Lady from the Sea; illiteracy and the TCC Drop In Assistance for Learning (DIAL) Center; an Associated Students sponsored lip sync show and competition; journalism instructor Chuck Doud attending a regional media briefing of President Ronald Reagan in Washington DC; biology instructor Richard Perkins speaking on ways to reduce food costs; Biology 106 students forming the Nutritional Information Center and the SNAC (Student Nutritional Assistance Center) Bar; a presentation by computer engineer Sydney Trevethan on the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and nuclear Mutually Assured Destruction; men's basketball player Bobby Barnette and women's basketball player Holly Hovey being named to all-star basketball teams, Cornelius Williams being named Most Valuable Player of the tournament, and coaches Ron Billings and Jerry Shain being named coaches of the year; the beginning of men's baseball season; the two sessions of student perspectives on the humanities.
Also includes editorials on end of quarter changes to the Challenge, a proposed curfew bill; review of the Tacoma Actors Guild production of 'Home'; letters to the editor responding to a previous editorial on prayer, defending the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program in response to a previous issue's article and editor response, a request for letters and photos from an incarcerated person; poetry and illustrations; Challenge advertising rate card and marketing blurb.
Announcements and campus ads include a Happy St. Patrick's Day message; two essay contests from the Mount Hood Society; open applications and deadline for student vice president elections; student and employee special rates for Expo '86 in Vancouver BC; the Tacoma Agate Club's Annual Gem and Mineral Show at TCC; an art exhibit by Paul Michaels in the library.
