This issue contains stories on the end of funding for Ethnic Studies Program Assistant Al Coby and his move to a records job on campus; the new budgeting process and Board approval of the student government budget; summer student government and Program Board activities; results of a parent survey on the Child Care Center; a summer course on career planning; Ruth Peterson winning the Allied Arts contest to design city Fireplugs; the Newspaper Workshop course (Journalism 100); the results of the Spring Festival; the successful Spring Festival botany class plant sale and Art Department bake sale; the drama production of Rip Van Winkle; an upcoming 3D film screening of Eyes of Hell; bicycle safety; instructor Yu Yi Ho earning his PhD; a student tour of Olympia Brewery; a summary of the athletic program's year; the end of the women's slow pitch softball season.
Also includes editorial thanking the Challenge staff; letters to the editor canceling the Phi Theta Kappa Bicentennial Literary Contest, praising president Dr. Larry Stevens, thanking participants in the Spring Festival Art Department bake sale, thanking the Service Club for their Spring Festival concessions stand work, calling for film committee participants, expressing disappointment at Rip Van Winkle performance attendance, sharing student government accomplishments; a detailed 1976-1977 student government service and activity fee budget; poetry; spring quarter examination schedule.
