This issue contains stories on a presentation about the current economic crisis by American Economic Association Vice President Paul Sweezy at the University of Washington; the new Spartan security system in the library (using magnetic "tattle tape"); a new Environmental Geology Problems (Geology 294) course by Dr. Jack Hyde; the Obi Society and its new elected officers; new nursing program instructor Alice Jean Olsen; the Forensics Team and their recent tournament performance; the Challenging Choices sports prediction contest and this week's college football games; Titan men's basketball and the Bellevue Tip Off Tournament; intramural and extramural sports programs; education programs at the Purdy Women's Treatment Center.

A new arts page includes reviews of the film The Longest Yard, the published anthology Green Book 1 of works by community college students who attended the WWSC Manuscript Conference; poetry; a call for naming the new section; announcements of upcoming Martha Graham Dance Company, David Jay White, Maggie Unrue Trio, Pat Gill, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra performances, call for Spring Arts Festival volunteers, and a lecture series at the Seattle Art Museum.
Announcements include the upcoming presentation by columnist Jack Anderson on "Advocacy Journalism"; the TCC Intergalactic Chess Tournament; a visit from a University of Puget Sound representative; work study positions available from the Financial Aid Office; available scholarships.
