This issue contains stories on formation of an ad hoc committee to study "the needs and problems of the college community"; the retirement of Audiovisual Center Director Ernest Anderson; TCC student and KMO radio announcer and news commentator John Johnson; unsafe conditions and inadequate facilities in the microbiology lab; a tentative new women's self-defense class; the Contemporary Biology class making a formal presentation to the city for the preservation of China Lake; student senator Shelly Waller working to restart math tutoring; Foods Service Manager Domi Petrinovich; the bowling league annual awards dinner; the tennis team's performance at the state tournament.

Also includes a photo collage of various events from the academic year; editorial on the growth of student government and advocacy; letters to the editor charging lack of college leadership, responding to the previous issue's editorial on faculty involvement, and from an incarcerated person asking for penpals; ads and classified ads; spring quarter examination schedule; sports editorial offering "graduation presents" to TCC coaches.

Announcements include summer closure of the TCC Recycling Center; guitar classes; a conference on "Growth and the Quality of Life in Washington State"; commencement events; Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge concerts; a presentation by Western Washington State College Human Services program students; this issue being the last of the Challenge for the academic year.
