This issue contains stories on overenrollment and underfunding for the community colleges; the "Big Ripoff," an upcoming swap meet; a proposed tuition increase; the TCC judo class; Board news, including approval to begin fundraising for a student union building and reduction of parking fees; the Bachman Turner Overdrive concert; an upcoming Winter Sports Club ski trip; a donation of books to the library entitled the "Contemporary Issues Collection"; Student Activities Coordinator Paula Pascoe; Titan men's basketball team news, including a profile on player Steve Johansen; the "Challenging Choices" sports prediction game.
Also includes a letter to the editor addressed to Ontario Text Editions regarding dissatisfaction with their dictionaries; ads and classified ads; Student Programs calendar; Veterans Corner column, including information on the state Vietnam Bonus, recently sponsored events; photo of mime Claude St-Denis; sports editorial on the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier; community college basketball schedule; "Challenging Choices" sports prediction form.
Announcements include formation of a new chess club; information for students eligible for their high school diploma; need for more intramural basketball teams; a name change for Prisoners Coalition to United Prisoners, Inc. and an upcoming meeting with speakers from Tacoma's Progress House; a Senator Stortini Appreciation Dinner in the cafeteria; an exhibit of historic soup tureens at the Seattle Art Museum.
