This issue contains stories on the perspectives of those faculty who may potentially be laid off, including Rev. Elijah Hankerson on the action reflecting a lack of commitment to the Afro-American program; a memorial fund being established in honor of maintenance head Sam Minnitti; Dean of Instruction Dr. Paul Jacobsen going on sabbatical to study alternatives in modern education; Lewis C. Hatfield replacing Charles Edmunds as the new labor representative on the board of trustees; the student election results; a TCC Interpersonal Growth and Development Program, Health Services Department, and community consultant co-taught drug education course; Mary Kennedy and the TCC book store; the track team winning third at a Shoreline Community College meet; the tennis team losing matches; golf team news; library staff Lorraine Hildebrand and planning for the Friends of the Library dinner; student Emory Ost being named temporary chairman of the TCC Native American Council (NAC).
