This issue contains stories on conflict between faculty and administration, including a refused faculty request for a closed board meeting, a faculty vote of no confidence in the administration, eleven faculty members being notified of possible layoff, and faculty refusal to participate in a committee to investigate alternatives to employee reductions; biology instructor Ivonna McCabe being chosen 1973 Outstanding Educator of America; student senate positions on current campus conflict, including interest in participation in the proposed committee, their own no confidence vote, their position paper declaring "re-establishment of education as the top priority" at TCC; faculty inviting the board to meet, expressing frustration with Falk being appointed board negotiator for bargaining, and investigating rumor of a closed board and administrator meeting; anthropology instructor Robert Adams and his predictions of a swing toward conservatism; driving through California; a Weyerhauser Foundation grant for education at McNeil Island State Penitentiary; TCC being listed in the new Servicemen's Opportunity College Catalog; golf team news; the need for involvement in student government; the possibility of a new video course program; tennis team news, including many new members; Fort Steilacoom Community College and TCC collaborating on drama productions; the new Servicemen's Opportunity College program, designed to reduce barriers to veterans' educational goals.
Also includes editorial on writing editorials; an open letter from student government expressing no confidence in president Ford and his assistant Richard Falk; letters to the editor suggesting conflict with faculty is result of changes related to new occupational education programs, announcing a dance at Totem Service Club at Fort Lewis, complaining about admissions office staff; ads and classified ads; sports editorial on the possible layoff of head basketball coach Don Moseid; a music review of Led Zeppelin.

Hyde being selected chairman for the Geological Society of America meeting in Portland (OR), upcoming Activities Council events, men still needing to register for the draft, a visit from a UPS representative, request for blood donations for art instructor Frank Dippolito's daughter Jennifer, upcoming Seattle concerts by Bread and James Brown, discounted Gordon Lightfoot concert tickets for sale.
