This issue contains stories on a presentation by "radical" Berkeley (California) mayor Warren Widener; the Board of Trustees voting against establishment of a drug abuse education program at TCC; need for increased parking lot lighting; a Friends of the TCC Library meeting discussing fundraising; Larry Corbin participating in the North West Collegiate Championship skydiving meet; student participation in campus elections; the upcoming production of Ten Little Indians; a field trip led by geology instructor Jack Hyde to Mount St. Helens, including numerous photos; event planning by the International Student Organization; a visit by George Van Meighan to Europe; the band Three Dog Night and commercialism; financial aid programs at TCC and financial aid officer Joe Jansen; counseling service department chairman Ronald L. Lundquist on the need for the campus drug abuse center; cross country team performance at the Skagit Invitational; beginning of basketball season; cancellation of the varsity soccer team due to lack of interest; division of the community colleges into three new athletics regions to cut travel expenses.
