This issue contains stories on a cross country meet; a Sports Car Club autocross and upcoming championship; a International Meditation Society-sponsored concert of "music and ideas" by Natural Tendency; the Washington State Community College creative arts magazine Mirror Northwest; TCC Board chairman Robert Yamashita; attempted formation of a crisis clinic at TCC to focus on drug abuse, including an interview with Steve Hicks of Tacoma Crisis Clinic on his goals; the start of the medical record technicians and respiratory care technicians programs; rehearsals for the play Ten Little Indians; a "60 Minutes" report on American emigration to England; student affairs advisor Paula Pasco promoting the student activities office; student Rich Williams working as a full-time policeman; a new General Adult Training and Education (GATE) program, designed for residents of the Conifer complexes and the Model Cities neighborhood; a debate by city council candidates Jack Gamble and Harold Moss; a board of trustees meeting primarily focused on implementing a drug abuse program; a new addition to the science building.

Announcements include a required meeting for students in the Service Representative and Receptionist/Clerk programs, a Halloween party at the Image Theater, a concert by music group Natural Tendency, one credit workshops, formation of a scuba club, free judo lessons, an Obi Club-sponsored dance, a Feature Film Presentation of The Fox, TCC clubs representation at the Associated College Union Internationals conference, a dance in the cafeteria with music by Chinook, student Authula Powell Cooper winning a scholarship from the Washington Real Estate Educational Foundation, a concert by Crash & Buffalo, a rideshare bulletin board, election of new cheerleaders, am Associated Women Students-sponsored UNICEF drive, basketball tryouts, a presentation by Berkeley (California) mayor Warren Widener.
