Student newspaper of the Tacoma Community College. This issue is numbered volume VI, number 16 and is eight pages.
This issue features a special cover with the text of a letter from concerned TCC students to the US President regarding the "Lt. Calley incident," referring to the sentencing of a soldier for his role in the My Lai Massacre.
This issue contains stories on potential major budget cuts threatening TCC's open door policy; the Senate Ways and Means Committee cutting funding for the Youth Commission; a proposed TCC "Book Bank"; the possibility of an amendment to state legislation to support funding a new student union building; new counselor Karen Becker, hired to run the Career Development Program; tennis team, track team, golf team news; organization of a TCC Booster Club to fund scholarships for the basketball team; scuba diving classes available at the Tacoma-Pierce County YWCA; student Tracie Jeanne traveling to Washington DC as Washington state's Cherry Blossom Festival princess; the upcoming opening of Tacoma Natural Food Co-op; theft problems on campus; a "Meet the Press" panel discussion on the role of the newsman in society; a survey of Tacoma businesses showing a lack of available summer jobs.
