Student newspaper of the Tacoma Community College. This issue is numbered volume 5, number 21 (actually the 22nd issue) and is eight pages.
This issue contains stories on an open meeting for students, faculty, and community members in response to protests and violence on US college campuses, including the shootings at Jackson State and Kent State; an open forum student council forum presumably on equal rights; the films IF and Medium Cool; the upcoming Associated Women Students luau and afterparty at the Coffeehouse; Dr. Harry Edwards speaking on the war and whiteness; a series of student discussion groups between white and Black students; Environment Week events, including panel discussions with various government, business, and conservation representatives; classroom project animals living in psychology professor Hugh Criswell's office; graduation and Mayor Gordon Johnston being selected as a speaker; planning of the Mount Tahoma class of 1965 reunion; informal interviews on today's youth at the Pee Wee Tavern; John Binns being elected chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Also includes exam schedule; editorial on the potential use of nerve gas; letters to the editor responding to a previous issue's editorial regarding a conflict in the student senate, asking students to "turn on" and get involved in current issues while at TCC; an open letter to city council suggesting the creation of a Youth Advisory Committee; announcements of open submissions to creative journal The Mirror, Pat Dyer's attendance of a National Science Foundation institute for college math teachers, recommendation of Bob Rhule at Community Services Director, a photo caption error in the previous issue; art and literary page with poetry, photographs; "With My Boots On" column, including discussion of dances, a Tacoma recall, saying goodbye.
