This issue contains stories on the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) handing out unapproved leaflets claiming the student government distribution committee's approval policy conflicts with free speech; thefts and issues with policy of insuring equipment purchased with club funds; student President John DeVore addressing the previous vote on a request for funds by the Obi Society; Pep Band tryouts; upcoming holidays, advising, and registration; the possibility of a soccer team; University of Washington football; the cross country team winning the Yakima Apple Pickers Invitational and Al Swenson setting another record; formation of a varsity golf team; an upcoming Sports Car Club rally, results of the last rally; fall intramurals starting with 3 on 3 boys basketball, availability of gear for other sports; SDS's Vietnam Moratorium Committee calling for discussions of the war and a class boycott, other larger events; availability of library jobs and the library's occupational file; voting and eventual approval of Obi Society's funding request; the Student Information Center and its various resources; a double screening of anti-drug films Narcotics - The Pit of Despair and Beyond LSD.

Also includes editorial on the Obi Society's request for funding for student financial aid; letters to the editor by Philip Shinn responding to coverage of his actions as a Senator, Brian Baker responding to a previous letter regarding student government spending; activities schedule; a review of the film Easy Rider; horoscopes; Art and Literary Supplement with poetry, photography; "Awareness" column on the "Yellow Peril" and "Rising Tide of Color"; "With My Boots On" column, including news of the mayoral election; announcements of a rideshare bulletin, SDS being put on probation by the Activities Council for their unapproved leaflet distribution.
