This issue contains stories on commencement; the year in review for student government business; sales of the underground newspaper HELIX; hiking at Point Defiance Park; a presentation by Peace Pilgram; the year in review for sports, including the basketball team taking second in the state tournament and other teams taking third and fourth in several other state rankings; a Board of Trustees meeting to respond to the Obi Society's demands; a visit by KJR business manager Pat O'Day to communications students; the B. J. Thomas concert.

Also includes editorials on a previous issue that said "God is dead", the arboretum dedication, war, social change and student activism; letters to the editor responding to a previous ad from a drafted student selling his "used mind", the administration's involvement in the Tacoma community, a thank you from Penny Meyers; review of the movie Pork Chop Hill; a guest feature on filmmaking from a Washington State University student; weather canceling a number of Campus Day activities; Art and Literary Supplement with poetry, drawings, short stories, and coverage of the organ dedication recital by George Scott and students.
