This issue contains stories on the Associated Women Students-sponsored Racism Week, which included lectures by University of Puget Sound professor Dr. Leroy Annis, Bellarmine instructor O'Neal McGowen, Hilltop Multi-Service Center Assistant Director Melvin Jackson, and Human Relations Board Director Lynn Hodges; ongoing thefts of property and a vehicle from the TCC parking lot; student Mary Simpson winning first place in Persuasive Speaking at a forensics tournament; Washington state community colleges news, including proposed legislation to give students and faculty a voting representative on college Boards; smelter smells and air pollution; an ice skating class; an Obi Society visit and panel presentation to Saint Martin's College; a college student letter writing campaign to protest a proposed Wyoming voting law and actions by an Oklahoma college president to suppress student activism; Titan men's basketball and state tournament hopes; community college football, athletic scholarships; TCC gym hosting a Wheelchair Basketball Conference game between Tacoma and Seattle; end of the intramural basketball season and a free throw contest; tennis team; golf team; a press conference by community college student body presidents criticizing the governor's budget; the elimination of a site neighboring TCC to be a new high school location.

Also includes editorials on the Challenge being the students' paper; letters to the editor regarding white and Black people ending racism together and specific event ideas, alleged parking lot harassment; announcements of the poll results on degrees at TCC, TV coverage of an upcoming Sports Car Club rally, play tryouts for the musical Money, Associated Women Students organizing visits to patients at Madigan Hospital; "Awareness" column on knowledge and truth.
