Student newspaper of the Tacoma Community College. This issue is numbered volume II, number 2 and is six pages.
This issue contains stories on a visit by US Vice President Hubert Humphrey to Pacific Lutheran University; Associated Women Students planned activities, group elections; freshman elections; plans for the Selective Service College Qualification Test, which assisted in Selective Service decisionmaking around service deferral; a Washington Association of Community College Student Governments Northern Regional meeting; Stanford Professor Philip H. Rhinelander and his thoughts on student activists; passage of the 1966-1967 campus activity budget; first matches of the cross-country team; various club news for the Young Republicans, Chess Club, Folk Music Club; the Debate Club's first debate; construction of the TCC gym; schedule planning for cross-country, basketball, and track; intramurals planning; plans for a community membership drive for the Friends of the Tacoma Community College Library; assignment of Model United Nations Club to Costa Rica; Artist and Lecture Series events, including a film series; call for members for the Stage Band; Selective Service state director Captain C. Chastek encouraging students to take the Selective Service Qualification Test; a lecture on Shakespeare by Ashland Shakespeare Festival founder and director Dr. Angus L. Bowmer; a Fort Lewis performance of West Side Story featuring three TCC students; sociology professor Luther Jansen; an upcoming campus visit by Senator Warren G. Magnuson; a student survey regarding Blue Laws, which restricted certain Sunday activities including liquor sales; participation of Dean of Students Richard Falk in a Government of Associated Students meeting; the possibility of forming a Veterans Club.
Also includes an editorial on a proposal from the American Bar Association regarding what information about cases should be allowed to be published, and an announcement of the addition of want ads to the newspaper.
